Utah state on-road championships

Postby spooky on Mon Jul 05, 2010 10:02 am

It's official, the state champs race will be July 31, at IR/CR. It's a joint effort with Spooky's R/C and Intermountain raceway. We will be running 18R/mini, 17.5 sedan , 13.5 sedan , vintage, 10th nitro , spec GT and open GT. First 30 entries will receive t-shirts and goodies will be given at the race. Racing will start at 9:00 a.m. We will be using roar rules , so plan to be teched. We will be racing there on Saturdays this month with the exception of the Miller race. We are also running a Nitro point series at Timpanogas Harley every other Wed. Shine up your cars and let's go racing.

Roar doesn't have rules for GT yet, so we will run my rules. Rule #1-Gus wins. #2-refer to rule #1

So if I break rule #1 and #2, does that mean I'll be disqualified? If so, where and when I can sign up!!!! My mommy taught me to respect the rules throughout my life but once in a while it is ok to break them as well    . Absolutely fantastic news Gus!!!! Utah State championship and point series, awesome!!!!

One is the 93mm one from Kyosho. The other is the stock axle type. You can check some universal ones and probably find the right size.

Where and When can we sign up? What is the Cost?

I looked over the ROAR rules. Wow!! That theres a lot of rules!! 103 pages worth. :o :?

I think I'm ok for the GT rules we've always used, as far as I know nothings changed right?
Is the Axial .28 Spec 2S engine approved for the Spec GT class?

I did not see any rules posted for the 1/18 scale. Will the 1/18 scale be run at the same time as the mini's like at the July 3rd race? The rules I built my car (RC18R) by was stock tires, stock motor, and stock battery. Is this still accurate?

The rules for 18r are stock motor, rubber tires and sedan bodies. I will allow the 2-cell lipo if everyone is okay with it. The entry for 1st class is $25, and includes a t-shirt and ticket for drawings. 2nd class is $15. We will be running 3 qualifiers and mains. Racing will start at 9 sharp. In GT , the S2 Axial engine is legal. I have those in if you need one. 3450 grams minimum weight for Spec. All cars finishing in the top 3 in each qualifier will report to tech. Roar weight applies.

You can pick up entries for this at IR/CR or Hobby Habit. Sign up early and get your t-shirt. T-shirt size was not on the entry form, so please write it in.

Entries are coming in , the deadline for t shirts is 7/21 (if you have NOT paid by the 21st - no shirt). Sign up at Hobby Habit in Orem , or IR/CR in Magna. Don't forget this Saturday is the miller race. 7/17

I'll bring you an entry form to the Miller race this Saturday. I'll have some with me if anyone wants to sign up at this race.

I cant make it to the Miller Race unfortunately. I'm still trying to get my engine broke in and my IGT wont be ready Saturday. And I got other commitments that day also.

But I would still like to know if I can sign up over the phone or email or something? And if indeed there are forms at SVH? If someone will fax the entry form to me I'll post it up so others can download it.

Cool, my fax is 801-208-8369. I will fill it out and send it back to the return fax number asap. Then I assume I can pay cash next time I see you Gus (which may be the 31st)? or can I give you my CC info over the phone? I just want to make sure I get the T-Shirt in XXL.

If Kent posts up a .pdf that would be cool too.
