On Road 7-24

Postby zootcapri on Sun Jul 25, 2010 12:46 pm

Great day of racing. Thanks to Gus, Laska and Jeff. I hope I didn't irritate too many (Gus/Andy) with the 'car'nage at the end of open GT..... The racing was good. Gotta figure out the 1/10th's engine problems... or finally put the red dot in....

Where have you been?

'try not hitting people' you may be onto something.

Actually the 'car'nage was after the race. Had you been there you'd known what happened

If only I was as perfect as you......

...So... anyone else think that I intentionally hack... seems that is what Ward is saying... just interested.

I had a wonderful time racing Saturday. Little demolition derby with Gus and Bill after the race was a kick!! Nothing was broken, amazingly!!!! Hey Bill, I am just happy you can come out and race with us. Little bit of paint exchange during race is inevitable

Well Craig.. I am now confused... you say I hit people... same as always ... right... isn't that what a hack does.... By all means if I am thought of as a hack I need to find another hobby. I race hard. I have hit people... though (other than the 'car'nage) I can't think of an intentional hit. If I spin out in a corner and a car comes by and I hit it as I am trying to get out of the corner is that a hack. If the transmission that is barely holding together then comes loose is that hacking. If I drive agressively and someone turns infront of me and I can miss it... am I hacking...' same as always' isn't a passing comment. I see that didn't you comment on anyone else in that manner... like when an un-named driver... lets call him Andy hits me when I spin out in front of him messing up my throttle linkage... was that a hack. No... just racing.... Contact seems to be part of GT... has for the four years that we've run it...

Honestly Craig, I will never be as good of a driver as your are. I am just too old and my reflexes are not as quick... Maybe it is time for me to get out so that the racing can be 'cleaner'.

Zoot, you are and have always been a clean racer. Yes, we have had contact, but I'm sure I have hit you as often as you have hit me. You are welcome to swap paint with this old driver anytime. I thought the racing was a great time Saturday,(I won) Can't wait to do it again at the state champs.

I've found Zoot to be nothing but a gentleman on and off the race track. Always helpful, racing a good line, and competes to do the best can. Crap happens to everyone. Me particularly, lots of times I mess up and wreck somebody, (oops!! sorry!! you know who you are). Not because I'm trying, stuff just happens and mistakes are made. "Sorry" goes a long way. Wreckin' is racin'.
You guys should try Mini-Z's if you want to see some crashes! If you ask me it just comes with the territory.
