Blitz set up

Postby Nickademusss on Sun Jul 25, 2010 3:43 pm

I ebayed a bunch of crap lying in the bottom of my closet, now I have a Blitz ESE, could any of you tell me what a good set up is for it? I used the recommended set up except I used 60W shock oil.
What front hub carrier/steering blocks should I use? the centered over the shaft or the trailing?

I used the motor/speed control out of my Slash 2wd to power it. I put the motor/ESC out of my Slash 4WD in the 2wd, that should move it along....So either off to ebay with the rest of the 4wd or trade....

I'm jealous Zach! This is supposed to be a good ESE set up, but Joe or Jared may be able to give you a better one for Blacksheep:

You definitely want to use the inline. The trailing has way too much push and you won't be able to turn tight enough.

Inline front hubs rear shocks in outer mount on top and bottom 60wt should be good for landing jumps but 95% of the time i want my tires on the ground pulling I'm 50 front and only 25 rear. Every thing else set buy book.

Thanks guys, thats a good starting point, I have also tuned my Slash down like the Blitz, maybe it will work better as well. I may have to dig in the closet more often. :D

Thanks!, I practiced some Tuesday night, the Blitz did far better on the slick track, but I also changed my set up on the Slash, I lowered it some changed the shock oil and gave it some camber and it was doing very well.
With the motor thats in it now I can give it a quick burp of the throttle and make most of the jumps.

Last night it looked like it was going to storm over the track so I didnt practice.
instead I made some homemade CVD boots for the Blitz, a little fuel tubing and heat shrink tubing a they are sealed. I dont know how long it will last, the Shrink I used is very tough industrial stuff.
